The Indian Finance Minister has called for an inter-ministerial meeting on 27th June 2017 to examine and discuss the risk regarding cryptocurrency in the country.
The meeting was attended by several government officials and decision makers of the committed including NITI Aayog, India’s economic affairs ministers, IT minister, finance services secretary and other senior officers from Reserve Bank of India and State Bank of India.
The meeting was firstly reported by a non-profitable news cooperative, the Press Trust of India (PTI). The multiple topics concerning bitcoin were discussed during the meeting by finance minister Arun Jaitley but no decision has been made on bitcoin according to the news source PTI.
The inter-governmental committee formed by Indian Finance Minister in March. To make research and make a framework for the future of cryptocurrencies in India.
